Concerned that her "chats" might be indicative of deeper issues, Rev. Daniel questions her parents, which leads the mother to admit in private that she may have breast cancer. Meanwhile, Judith urges their son Adam to take a part-time internship in his brother Peter's department only to have it backfire when Adam hits it off with Peter's advisor and inadvertently outs him, causing him to lose an important case study. Elsewhere, Judith runs into Daniel's brother, Worth, who comes close to rekindling more than her own latent career ambitions.
